RMI Academy opens new Lincoln training centre

RMI Academy Lincoln

The RMI Academy of Automotive Skills will open a new training facility in Lincoln this month, offering a selection of MOT and technical courses for automotive technicians.

The new site joins the RMI Academy’s three existing locations in Southam, Runcorn and Winchester, and is the first of a number of additional academies planned as part of the trade body’s wider strategy to provide training for garages on a more local basis.

Alongside MOT Tester training, the new Lincoln site will offer a range of courses covering ADAS systems, hybrid and electric vehicles, and wheel alignment.

Stuart James, RMI Director, said: “We are pleased to announce the opening of our fourth training academy in our mission to provide affordable, high-quality training for the automotive sector.

“As the UK’s leading automotive trade body, we receive a great deal of feedback from the trade requesting training in their local area. We are actively working to facilitate these requests by opening a number of new training sites throughout the country, starting with Lincoln.”

The RMI Academy of Automotive Skills was set up by the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) in 2015 to act as a "leading resource" for automotive training in the UK, and deliver high quality, cost effective training as a trade body with no commercial interests.

RMI Academy training centres are open to all eligible candidates and Testing Stations; however, members of the RMI can take advantage of preferential prices as a benefit of membership.
