Car dealer Arnold Clark has agreed a three year sponsorship of the Ricoh Women's British Open golf tournament.

Its Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental has been named as official courtesy car supplier to the event, and will see it provide a fleet of up to 40 prestige cars for the shuttle of players, VIP guests and backstage staff throughout the golfing event.

Jeffrey Clark, Arnold Clark car and van rental general manager, said: “We are thrilled to have forged this exciting alliance with the Ricoh Women’s British Open. This respected global sporting event truly affords us the opportunity to showcase our brands on an international stage. We’re looking forward to following what I am certain will be an enjoyable championship for players, spectators and stakeholders alike.”

A fleet of 4x4 pick-ups and minibuses will also be on hand to support the championship.

This summer the event will be hosted at The Ailsa Course, Trump Turnberry Resort, Scotland, from July 30 to  August 2. In 2016 it will take place at Woburn Golf and Country Club near Milton Keynes, and in 2017 at Kingsbarns Golf Links in Fife.

Added to the LPGA Tour Schedule in 1994, the event has been classified as a major championship since 2001, and is now in its 39th year.
