Stoneacre has opened its newly “transformed” Chesterfield Volvo dealership following a 12-month long, multi-million pound redevelopment of the site.

The significant investment has seen the Brimington Road North facility's capacity increased to display 10 cars in its showroom, with vehicles plugged into power units to allow features to be demonstrated, with touch screen digital showroom information systems.

Stoneacre Chesterfield Volvo’s general sales manager, Ben Febrero, said: “With the build taking place across the road, we have kept a keen eye on developments along with our customers so it was very exciting to relocate once it was completed.

"I am confident our customers will agree that we have created a fantastic facility fit for the premium car owner.”

In keeping with the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE), the customer-focused redesign aims to create a relaxed environment that informs and provides flexible waiting, working and assessment areas.

Stoneacre appointed additional staff and transferred existing employees to the larger premises. New appointments included technicians, parts advisors, showroom host and a product specialist.

Customers will benefit from a workshop glass viewing area and upgraded workshop bays and increased teams of personal service technicians – meaning work can be carried out “twice as fast”.

The changes should streamline aftersales functions and improve workshop efficiency, the AM100 retail group said.

Stoneacre has operated the Volvo Chesterfield facility since 2015 when it acquired the business from Huntson Holdings.

The facility was acquired along with the group's Autoworld Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Fiat, Hyundai, Suzuki, Seat and Volvo at a multi-franchise autopark in the town during October of that year.
