A major project to extend and improve JCT600's Porsche Centre Sheffield car dealership has been completed, with new showroom and workshop facilities.

The Bradford-based AM100 retail group said that the work, which began last May, demonstrated a “major investment” in the Porsche brand and in the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire region.

Located on Sheffield Road, just a short distance from the Meadowhall Shopping Centre and opposite to Sheffield's Ikea store, the site features an 18-car showroom including a dedicated handover lounge, plus it has doubled capacity for Porsche approved pre-owned vehicles to 38.

JCT600 chief executive, John Tordoff, said: “After more than 50 years representing Porsche, we’re proud that we are continuing to build on our relationship.

"Porsche Centre Sheffield now not only showcases more models from the stunning Porsche range, but also features the latest design concept and improved facilities which set it apart.”

The investment has seen the workshop undergo significant expansion with the creation of an 11-bay workshop as well as two customer direct dialogue service bays, and the valeting facilities have also doubled in size. It will continue to offer the full range of Porsche services.

The new facilities and services include:

  • 11-bay workshop
  • MOT bay
  • Four-wheel alignment bays and ‘driver assist’ calibration bay
  • Porsche direct dialogue bay supporting quick, on-the-spot diagnosis
  • Executive lounge area
  • ‘Kidz zone’ complete with iPads and gaming pod
  • ‘Smart Energy’ building management system and full LED lighting
