To celebrate its 60th birthday, Fords of Winsford has produced a new 30 second TV and radio campaign for ITV Granada.

The TV commercial, made by Reactive Audio and Video, brings together 60 years history of the family-run business.

Fords of Winsford’s group marketing manager, Nathan Quayle, said: “We really wanted to celebrate the fact this is our 60th year in business by paying homage to the history of the business.

"The team at Reactive took the brief and worked with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure the message was put across in the right way and we got the feel of the family business through to the audience.”

The television advert features early scenes which re-enact the late William Vernon Ford’s first sale of a Mini Cooper, from the family farm.

It then shows its second site, Wharton Road in Winsford, in 1986 and brings it up-to-date with sites in Winsford and Manchester featuring Fords, Grandchildren Edward and John Ford.

Reactive Audio and Video’s director, Paul Smith, said: “We wanted to convey the fact that this business is still family owned by the same family and also get across they not only sell Ford cars but all manufacturers.

“We really wanted to bring back some memories from yesteryear and pay tribute to the late Mr Ford who started the business.”
