HR Owen has revealed Automobili Lamborghini’s new dealership corporate identity with the opening of a new supercar showroom in Pangbourne, Reading.

Created as part of the worldwide programme to establish its new showroom corporate design in 50 countries the AM100’s 42nd-placed franchised retail group’s newest addition is part of a ten-strong UK network.

In 2018 the UK was the second largest single-country market for Lamborghini and the brand described its footprint in the country as “growing” in a statement issued today (July 30).

Sytner and Cambria Automobiles have been among the retail group's to most recently invest in the Italian supercar makers UK network.

HR Owen currently operates three Lamborghini franchises – Pangbourne, London and Manchester – and its new Lamborghini showroom and service environment provides increased display space for new and pre-owned vehicles, including the Urus SUV, V12 Aventador and V10 Huracán.

Automobili Lamborghini EMEA chief executive, Andrea Baldi, said: “Lamborghini Pangbourne provides significant coverage in the south east of England, with an extremely loyal and growing client base.

“The investment by HR Owen confirms the continuing strength of our partnership and the enthusiasm for our Italian brand in the UK, both with existing customers and owners new to the marque, as well as the remarkable number of Lamborghini fans in this market.”

In June HR Owen chief executive, Ken Choo, revealed that the London-based supercar and luxury car retailer has delivered a four-fold increase in pre-tax profits in the three years since its acquisition by the Malaysian Berjaya Group in financial results for the year to April 30.

The dealer group, acquired by billionaire and Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan back in 2013 and run by chief executive Ken Choo, published results today (June 17) which detail profit before tax of £8.3m and annual turnover of £459.9m.

Commenting on the investment in the group’s new Lamborghini facility, Choo said: “Lamborghini continues as a very strong-performing franchise within the HR Owen group of brands.

“We continue our substantial commitment to Lamborghini, which saw a record number of Lamborghini cars delivered from our three dealerships last year, reflecting the record sales achieved by the brand both in the UK and worldwide.

“Our new Lamborghini Pangbourne environment provides the perfect location for continued growth in both sales and aftersales, particularly with the Urus joining the model portfolio.”

More than 130 guests including Automobili Lamborghini representatives and owners attended an opening event at the new Pangbourne dealership.

Lamborghini delivered a record 5,750 cars to customers globally in 2018, the year that the Lamborghini Urus made its dynamic debut, and has already seen an 89% year-on-year growth in the first half of 2019, delivering 4,406 vehicles in six months.
