Glyn Hopkin is kicking off 2020 with a recruitment drive to attract 35 new members of staff in sales and aftersales positions at its car dealership sites across the South East.

The AM100 car dealer group is promoting the option of flexible working and a new company car scheme for its mater technicians in a bid to attract a new wave of talent into the business.

A testament issued by the group today (February 11) revealed that weekend and night shifts for aftersales positions at its Nissan dealerships are being offered among the variety of posts, specifically for those who aren’t able to conform to traditional working hours.

All applicants able to commit between 20 and 45 hours a week will be considered, it said.

Glyn Hopkin managing director, Fraser Cohen, said: “We are always looking to offer practical working solutions for our staff.

“We will offer new staff the option to work hours that will suit the modern parent or the partner who works nights.

“Our aim is to provide the flexibility for those who aren’t able to work nine to five, Monday to Friday, and offer a fantastic work-life balance.”

This week’s recruitment campaign is being launched alongside news of a new company car scheme for master technicians who hold MOT and EV licenses at Glyn Hopkin.

The scheme allows them to choose a company car or opt instead for an additional £250-a-month.

For those starting out in their careers, new apprentices will be awarded a £200 voucher upon qualification to be spent on tools.

The group has also highlighted its training provision in trying to attract new recruits, after three of its master technicians were recognised among the best Mitsubishi Motors in the UK aftersales employees in the country at the annual ‘Master Tech of the Year Awards’, placing second, third and fourth respectively.
