Car subscription provider Mycardirect has launched a new van business, called Myvandirect.

The new business offers access to a van from one to 24 months, on a flexible subscription basis.

CEO Duncan Chumley says that vans were always a key element of the Mycardirect business model, which launched in 2020, but, encouraged by an extremely positive market reaction, the decision was taken to add vans earlier than planned.

Small and medium sized vans are being offered with a range of powertrains, with Chumley saying that the demand for a van subscription service is being driven by the increase in online shopping.

Myvandirect allows business owners the option to change their vehicles and subscription length to suit business demands.

Chumley, the former managing director of Free2Move Lease, said: “We are delighted with the consumer response to the launch of Mycardirect and have been hugely encouraged by the demand for the addition of vans to our customer proposition. I am confident that this timely business expansion will see our customer base grow ever larger”.

Chumley launched the flexible car subscription service, which is aimed at consumers and the corporate sector, last year.

Included in the monthly subscription is home delivery and collection (mainland UK), servicing, maintenance and tyres, and insurance.
