BCA’s new online used car classified business cinch has signed 22 dealer groups and car supermarkets within a few weeks of launching.

The new business specialises in matching buyers with sellers of cars under seven years old that have covered 70,000 miles or less.

Jonny Crowe, divisional CEO at cinch, said: “We are delighted with the positive uptake from dealers and car supermarkets so far. The partners we’ve spoken to and signed up to work with cinch have been really impressed with the way cinch works, and with what that means for dealers. We have signed more than a thousand forecourts already – helping dealers by helping consumers find what they want, without the faff.”

Among its new partners are a number of AM100 dealer groups and car supermarkets, including Cambria, Car Giant, Eden Group, Fords of Winsford, Imperial Car Supermarkets, Marshall Motor Group, Motorpoint, Pendragon and Sinclair Group.

Daksh Gupta, CEO for Marshall Motor Group, said: “We are really looking forward to working with cinch. They’ve really thought about both the consumer and dealer needs. For us, cinch will act as a streamlining service, directing quality leads straight to our doors, which will help us to deliver a better service for our customers.”

Cinch aims to provide buyers with a quick, easy, jargon-free and personalised experience. It allows consumers to browse and learn more about what car suits their lifestyle and needs, and says it can improve the quality of leads passed to dealers.

The site currently lists more than 85,000 vetted cars, and expects more to be added all the time.

Visitors can also sell their car online using BCA-owned WeBuyAnyCar platform.
