Jeep has announced pricing and specifications for the new Compass First Edition, with orders opening in Q3.

The launch model offers a choice between an e-Hybrid powertrain and a fully electric variant with a projected WLTP range of up to 310 miles. Plug-in hybrid and additional EV models are to follow.

The Compass e-Hybrid combines a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 21kWh electric motor, delivering 145hp. The fully electric Compass features a 74kWh battery, producing 213hp and 345Nm of torque, with rapid 160kW DC charging enabling 20-80% top-ups in just 30 minutes.

Two additional EV variants will later join the range: a 230hp two-wheel drive model with up to 402 miles of range, and a four-wheel drive version offering off-road capability and up to 372 miles of range.

The new Compass offers up to 200mm ground clearance, and water fording of up to 470mm (408mm for e-Hybrid), with Selec-Terrain drive modes standard across the range.

Both e-Hybrid and EV versions come with bold alloy wheels - 18-inch gloss grey for e-Hybrid, and 20-inch machine-faced black alloys for the electric model.

The STLA Medium platform offers 55mm more legroom, a 34-litre front storage compartment, and a 550-litre boot with a 40/20/40 rear seat split.

Standard cabin features include heated seats and steering wheel, dual-zone air conditioning, ambient lighting, keyless entry, and a digital cockpit with a 10-inch cluster and 16-inch infotainment screen. The EV version adds pre-conditioning and a heat pump.

Optional packs include 360° camera, parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring; Predictive adaptive cruise, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and head-up display and premium audio, vinyl seating, ventilated and massaging front seats, and powered seat adjustment
