Renault has refreshed its flagship Koleos SUV with two new diesel engines to deliver better efficiency. The new model will be available in dealerships from October and features a new 1.8-litre 150PS Blue dCi 150 with front-wheel drive to achieve CO2 emissions of 143g/km of CO2, while the larger 2.0-litre 190PS Blue dCi 190 returns 150g/km of CO2.

Both engines have been tuned for greater refinement and better real-world acceleration, according to Renault, with maximum torque from 1,750rpm.

An X-Tronic continuously variable transmission is standard across the range, while the Blue dCi 190 is fitted with all-wheel-drive.

Subtle styling changes are complemented by standard-fit LED headlamps. There’s a more prominent grille, new chrome trim and larger skid plates.

Inside, the Koleos gains more soft touch materials and revised satin trim inserts. Rear seat passenger comfort is improved with the addition of a two-stage reclining seat back on all models.

Driver aids are enhanced with the introduction of a pedestrian detection function for the Active Emergency Braking System (AEBS). This follows the addition of standard adaptive cruise control late last year.

Renault’s R-Link 2 infotainment system has been updated to include full screen Apple CarPlay.

The Koleos will be offered in Iconic and GT-Line trim levels, with pricing revealed in July.
