Russell Kelsall, formerly at Squire Patton Boggs and an AM contributor on F&I compliance, has joined law firm TLT as a financial services regulatory partner.

At Squire Patton, Kelsall was a partner in the litigation and financial services practise groups. He spoke recently at the AM F&I Compliance Conference about the experiences of dealers during audits by the Financial Conduct Authority.

His areas of work include consumer credit, products regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), payment services and savings, disputes involving the sale and supply of goods and services and asset recovery and contentious and non-contentious financial services issues.

Emily Benson, TLT's head of financial services regulation, said: "Businesses need their legal advisers to keep them up-to-date and compliant with the regulator's proactive and developing expectations and Russell's experience builds further our capacity to do that."
