Swansway has appointed a new business manager at its Chester Fiat franchise and a general sales manager at Crewe Audi – recruiting from outside the business and promoting from within.

Carl Gregory has been appointed as business manager at Swansway Chester Fiat while Mike Noble has been made general sales manager at its Carlisle Audi franchise.

Gregory joins the group from outside the area. He said: “I’ve been in the motor trade since I finished college with as an NVQ-qualified vehicle technician. I spent two years as a technician before I decided to try my hand at sales and I haven’t looked back.

“My partner, Kelly, and I, have recently moved to the Wirral to be closer to her family as we have a beautiful baby daughter, Emily-Grace. This meant leaving my role as transaction manager at Nottingham Skoda and finding a new job in the area.

“Choosing Swansway Chester was an easy decision for me; it’s a family run business, but with the infrastructure of a plc and I have friends in the industry who spoke very highly of the owners.”

Noble has been in the motor trade for almost 25 years, started his automotive career as a sales executive with a Ford dealership before working his way up through the Swansway ranks to become general sales manager of the premium dealership on Kingstown Broadway.

He said: “I love my job and have worked my way up through different roles with various brands. Audi was really attractive to me, as I believe it’s now established as the leading brand in the premium sector.”
