Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has promoted sales operations manager Rob Holdcroft to the post of national sales manager.

Replacing Iain Montgomery, who has left the brand, Holdcroft had occupied his previous post since June 2016 and had previously worked within the Volkswagen Group’s TPS (Trade Parts Specialist) brand, a role he took on in 2006.

In his new role Holdcroft will continue to report to head of sales operations, James Douglas.

Douglas said: “Having worked with Rob since I joined Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles last year, he has been a great support to me and been responsible for driving innovation and raising standards across the network.

“I am pleased to see him step up and adopt new responsibilities in this crucial network-facing role.”

Holdcroft will be responsible for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ team of five UK area sales managers in his new post. They are: Alan Slimon; Emile Moore; Kelly Brown; Martin Whelpton; and Jim Wilberforce.

The team are responsible for driving performance, sales and customer satisfaction through the brand’s dedicated network of 72 Van Centres.

Holdcroft said: “A strong and dedicated commercial vehicle network is key to our success. I’m delighted to be taking on a really hands-on role, helping the network excel and ensuring our ‘Working With You’ brand promise is a tangible reality for every customer who comes into one of our Van Centres.”
