Inchcape has opened the largest Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle service centre in the UK at a 21,000 sq ft facility in Manchester.

The new site at Trafford Park on Commerce Way has 16 service ramps, an MoT facility and a team of 22.

Inchcape Volkswagen Commercial has sold VW vans at its sister site on Village Way for the last 15 years and it was the UK’s first stand-alone VW commercial vehicle site.

The new standalone service centre has been built due to Inchcape’s plans for expansion, allowing the Village Way site to focus on sales.

The service centre will stay open until 10pm three days a week for commercial customers that need extended opening hours.

Lee Seward, Inchcape Volkswagen Commercials operations director, said: “By opening a dedicated Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Authorised Repair facility, we can service even more vehicles than ever before – and with extended opening hours, we can keep commercial vehicle owners mobile.”

The new workshop increases the number of dedicated Volkswagen CV authorised repairers to 27. The brand also operates a further 72 full van centres which provide both sales and service facilities.
