The death of Mark Mathers while working at Aberdeen's Volkswagen dealership last month is subject to an investigation by Aberdeen City Council and local police.
Mathers died within three days of the injuries the contractor sustained in an accident involving a roller door he was working on at the Specialist Cars Volkswagen outlet on September 15.
A spokeswoman for the dealership said it was deeply saddened and staff's thoughts were with Mathers' family at such a terribly difficult time.
The business has offered counselling and support to members of staff at the outlet, and praised colleagues on site for their quick response in immediately alerting the emergency services.
