Opteven UK will pursue a “digital transformation strategy” for its WMS automotive warranties operation under its new operations director Madjid Hadj-Amar.

Hadj-Amar, who joins the UK team in Thame, has a background in engineering and will bring with him experience of people management, robust training and pioneering digital solutions from his 23 years with Opteven France.

WMS Opteven recently launched an online claims platform, designed to significantly simplify and speed-up the process of making warranty claims while offering exceptional customer service.

The system’s ongoing development and the growth of WMS’s repairer networks will be intrinsic to his new role, the business said.

Hadj-Amar said: “Customers are very much driving demand for a digital claims journey and it’s important that we continue to enhance this product if we are to meet their evolving needs.

“A crucial part of my responsibilities will be growing the WMS repairer network so that our online claims process continues to expand.

“One of my core objectives is to build capabilities and understanding within the operations function to ensure the Opteven UK business can deliver service brilliance to all customers and partners, while providing innovative ideas to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.”

Earlier this year insurance and warranty firm Opteven Group restructured its UK business – including the WMS Group operation acquired in 2020.

WMS commercial director Craig Grant moved up to the managing director role for all of Opteven's UK operations, and WMS's operations director Neil Monks joined the Opteven UK board as retail sales and customer services director.

Martin Quail became Opteven International chief executive, overseeing all its activities outside of its global home territory of France.

In February Robin Cundell was appointed as WMS Group’s new finance director, meanwhile, following the retirement of Rani Ponnuthurai.
