Pinewood.AI has launched a Parts Trade Portal to streamline how dealers serve their trade customers, moving the process from phone-based to fully digital.
The cloud-based self-service platform gives trade buyers access to real-time stock levels, pricing and availability.
Orders can be placed directly in the dealership’s dealer management system (DMS), with full order tracking from placement through to delivery.
The portal also allows trade customers to view and manage their invoices, which Pinewood.AI said reduces the need for back-and-forth contact, in turn freeing up dealership staff.
Pinewood.AI said the solution helps improve the customer experience while cutting pressure on dealership parts teams.
Tailored pricing and order channels can also be managed through the DMS for each individual trade buyer.
Michael Browne, head of product at Pinewood.AI, said: “Traditionally, dealers have needed dedicated staff to handle incoming parts orders by phone.
"The new portal removes this bottleneck by giving customers direct access to inventory and pricing, delivering greater efficiency for dealers and a better experience for trade customers.”
The Parts Trade Portal is available to all dealers using the Pinewood Automotive Intelligence platform.
