Snows Peugeot Basingstoke is celebrating winning a coveted Guild of Gold Lion Award, recognising it as one of the top-performing Peugeot dealerships.

The accolade, awarded by the manufacturer, places the Aldermaston Road South dealership fourth overall nationally, securing it a place in the top 20 Peugeot dealerships across the country.

This year’s recognition marks the fourth Guild of Gold Lion Award for the Basingstoke team, following previous wins in 2021, 2022, and 2023 reflecting its consistent performance across sales, aftersales, and customer service.

Peugeot dealerships were assessed across multiple metrics including customer satisfaction, sales performance, and the quality of aftersales support. The team was particularly commended for its contribution to electric mobility, with strong results in sales of popular models such as the Peugeot 308 Hybrid and E-3008.

Amber Smith, sales manager at Snows Peugeot Basingstoke, credited the award to a strong team ethic: “Myself and assistant sales manager Josh Tigwell joined the business last year and we quickly realised that this is a dealership where a high level of performance is very much expected.

“We were hopeful of winning another Guild of Gold Lion Award but took nothing for granted. Everyone in the team played a full part, and it’s wonderful to see that our efforts have been recognised.”

While Amber and Josh head up the sales operation, the aftersales department, including MOTs, servicing, and repairs, is led by David Appleby. Overseeing the broader Peugeot franchise across the region is David Bell, Snows’ Peugeot franchise manager, who also supports dealerships in Chichester, Portsmouth, and Southampton.

In a further boost for the group, Snows’ Stellantis Fleet Hub, also based in Basingstoke, was recognised as one of the top three Stellantis fleet hubs in the UK - a position it has now achieved twice in the past three years.

David Plant, fleet hub manager, said he was delighted by the national recognition and praised his team for their commitment to delivering high-quality service to corporate clients.

The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony in London, where the Snows Peugeot Basingstoke team received their trophy from Nicola Dobson, Peugeot UK managing director.

Reflecting on the achievement, Amber Smith added: “Customer service is at the heart of everything we do, so it’s incredibly rewarding to have our hard work acknowledged at this level. But we’re not stopping here - we’re already aiming for success in the next Guild of Gold Lion Awards. Watch this space!”
