RAC has announced that online reviews for its dealer network members are beating customer service icons such as Apple and Amazon.

The Net Promoter Score for RAC dealers is currently 67.2% - compared to the 2014 figures for Apple of 66% and Amazon of 64%.

NPS is used across the world and rates whether customers would recommend a business to another person.

RAC head of dealer propositions Mario Dolcezza said: “We promise an excellent experience for used car customers and this independent ratings method shows that we are achieving it.

“The review system provides RAC Dealers with the opportunity to build their brand equity online by delivering a satisfying customer experience, while the route planner presence improves their visibility.

“Online customer reviews are a key indicator to potential car buyers that you are a trusted dealer selling high quality used cars, giving them the confidence to buy from you. The fact that our reviews are so strong is a major asset to the Dealer Network.”

The RAC Dealer Network’s NPS score is based on 962 reviews received since the new online tool was introduced earlier in the year. Customers are invited to leave a review following purchasing a car from one of the Dealers in the network or by visiting the dealer locator on rac.co.uk

The reviews and star rating are visible on the RAC Route Planner, part of the RAC website, which receives more than one million unique visits every month.
