Arnold Clark signs deal with Smart Insurance Services

Arnold Clark has signed up with Smart Insurances services to supply their minor damage insurance product across its 200 branches in the UK.

Smart also offers a repair service called Shine!, which carries out OEM-approved repairs nationwide on cars with minor damage.

This was one of the reasons Arnold Clark chose Smart.

Eileen McFadden, Arnold Clark Insurance Services insurance manager, said: “This partnership appealed to us on a lot of levels.

“We see a lot of opportunities with the minor damage product. It ticks many of our boxes; customers have no excess to pay and have a £3,000 aggregate limit of repairs. It helps maximise the part exchange value of the vehicle and it does not affect a customer’s no claims bonus on their motor insurance policy.

“This, on top of an 85-90% acceptance rate for claims, was very appealing for us and we are looking to lead the industry in this regard.”
