A comprehensive vehicle history is the top priority for trade buyers when acquiring used cars and vans online, according to Epyx survey.

With 88% of wanting a comprehensive vehicle history, the survey also showed that 80% want a wider range of vehicles.

Lower down the list was minimizing auction fees (68%), alongside 63% wanting a large number of car brands and 47% wanting access to expert account management.

Interestingly, of the 157 people surveyed while 52% tend to use both online and physical auctions, with a large 43% are using online methods only.

Epyx’s remarketing commercial manager Vicky Gardner (pictured) said: “We have been seeing an ongoing shift towards online buying.

"The advantages are just too strong for most trade buyers to ignore although most also continue to like to visit physical auctions on a regular basis because of the ‘feel’ that it gives them for the current state of the market.”
