Derived from the Saab 9-3, the BLS Wagon tries hard to distinguish itself as a Cadillac, with restyled headlamps, fascia and grille.

However, sober styling both inside and out means that the BLS Wagon just comes across as a generic General Motors euro estate.

The 1.9-litre turbodiesel is both quiet and smooth, and the
premium positioning of the car is enhanced by an excellent Bose speaker system and comfy leather interior as standard.

What customers don’t get in style, they get in generous amounts of standard kit.
