Mazda has updated the MX-5 and 323, with prices remaining unchanged when they go on sale later this month.

Automatic transmission and sporty six-speed 'box are available in the MX-5 range for the first time in the UK. The Mazda MX-5 (pictured) starts at £14,995 on the road.

New sweeping bonnet and five-point Mazda family grille hint at the all-new engine line-up for the revised Mazda 323 range – 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol and uprated 2.0-litre turbodiesel. The six models come in three trim levels LXi, GXi and Sport. The range starts with the Mazda 323 1.3 LXi at £10,780 on the road, rising to £14,995 for the new 2.0-litre Mazda 323 Sport flagship. Both models feature Mazda's new modular audio system.

There are no pictures available yet of the new-look 323.
