Independent dealer Big Motoring World has opened its latest used car supermarket, which stocks more than 2,000 cars.

The 20-acre site, at Bluebell Hill near Chatham in Kent, has been opened to specialise in used Audis and Volkswagens.

Parent group Bapchild already has a huge Big Motoring World car supermarket at West Malling in Kent which retails used BMWs and Mercedes, and two smaller Canterbury Motoring World outlets which sell other marques, including mainstream brand used cars.

Chief executive Peter Waddell said Big Motoring World Blue Bell Hill sold 167 cars even before its official opening this week.

Its facilities include an airport lounge-style customer waiting area, complete with coffee bar and large screen TVs.

Waddell is now looking for another substantial property around the M25, with a minimum of 10 acres, for development into his next car supermarket.
