Motorpoint Castleford has pulled out all the stops to adopt a festive feeling at its Castleford branch – building its own ice rink.

The ID50’s number one independent retailer by turnover is inviting customers to enjoy free ice skating at the five-acre facility on Whistler Drive between December 28 and 30.

The ice skating rink will be open 10am to 4pm daily.

Hot and cold food and drinks available from the Motorpoint Café at festive events at the site in the run-up to Christmas which will include music from local music artists and a ‘Selection Box Treasure Hunt’ with Castleford Tigers rugby players on Saturday, December 29.

“Christmas can be an expensive time of year for families,” explained Mick Martin-Roebuck, general manager of Motorpoint Castleford.

“This is why we decided to build an ice rink between Christmas and the New Year so people of all ages from the Five Towns area can pop down to skate for free.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to Motorpoint Castleford between December 28 and 30.”
