Vauxhall Motors will take over the Yahoo! UK & Ireland homepage tomorrow, as part of a campaign to promote the new Corsa.

The takeover is part of an online campaign featuring a fictitious music band called The C'mons. It will feature band members jumping from one ad space to another and driving the Vauxhall Corsa off the homepage before coming back again.

Vauxhall is also running activity across the Yahoo! portal including an artist spotlight for The C'mons on Yahoo! Music, a question and answer section on Yahoo! Answers and profiles and blogs for each member of The C'mons on Yahoo! 360.

The campaign also incorporates a branded microsite, which features vehicle information, the Corsa TV ads, an interactive game and links to the official website.

Paul Fitzpatrick, digital marketing manager at General Motors, which owns the Vauxhall brand, said: "The C'mons campaign across Yahoo! has allowed us to engage with a wider audience in a fun and interesting way. By taking this approach we've been able to create a buzz around something that, until recently, was not attached to the new Corsa.
