Chrysler UK has made two new additions to its senior management team which fill gaps in its management structure.

Jonathan Shaw has joined as chief financial officer, a post which has been unfilled at Chrysler UK since the split with Daimler in May last year.

Shaw has been in the motor industry for more than 10 years and joins from Nissan Motor (GB) where he was finance manager.

Chrysler UK has also filled its sales director role, which has been open since May 30 when Jon Wakefield left to become dealer principal at Mercedes-Benz of Oxford.

Rob Hatfield is now in charge of sales for the Chrysler in the UK.

He is tasked with helping Chrysler UK carry out its plan of focusing on a handful of key models within its range and increasing average throughput per dealer from 200 registrations a year to 400.

Hatfield was previously at Fiat Auto (UK), where he was logistics and supply chain director, responsible for all sales forecasting and production planning.

Federico Goretti, Chrysler UK managing director, said: “The UK motor industry faces tough trading times ahead and it is paramount that we have a first-class team in place to drive the business forward.

“Jonathan and Rob bring to Chrysler a broad range
of auto manufacturer experience.

“They will play an invaluable role ensuring future success for Chrysler in the UK.”

The appointments form part of a recruitment drive in the senior team which saw Goretti appointed to head up Chrysler UK in August this year.

He replaced Simon Elliott who left to become director of Volkswagen’s Commercial Vehicles division.
