Volvo has appointed a new campaigns manager for business sales, Kay Saunders, to build on the growing interest in the brand from UK fleets.

Saunders has worked within the business sales team at Volvo for the past 10 years, most recently as an account development manager looking some of Volvo's larger corporate accounts.

Currently around 60% of Volvo's sales are to the corporate sector which it puts down to its DRIVe and R-Design derivatives.

Saunders' role will be to communicate Volvo's whole life cost and Benefit in Kind (BIK) fleet proposition to all fleets and drive extra growth within the SME sector.

This marketing brief will also extend down to Volvo's 20-strong network of dealer business centres.

Selwyn Cooper, Volvo national corporate operations manager, said: “Our sales and awareness within the corporate sector continues to grow, but still we have many car choice lists that we have yet to break into.

"A full time person such as Kay who is dedicated to marketing within the business to business sales arena can ensure we make the most of the fact Volvo has its strongest ever product range for corporate fleets and company motorists alike.”
