Luxury car dealer HR Owen, now under control of Berjaya Philippines Incorporated, has announced its chairman Jon Walden has resigned.
Walden has stepped down with immediate effect, and senior non-executive director Debbie Hewitt will chair the board until a new chairman is appointed.
Hewitt said: "Jon joined the Board in January 2010 and was instrumental
in initiating the subsequent strategic changes in the business which have
delivered significant shareholder value. On behalf of the board I would like to
thank him for his contribution and wish him well for the future."
Berjaya Philippines Incorporated's takeover offer for luxury car dealer HR Owen ended on Friday, leaving Berjaya with a controlling stake in the London-based motor retailer.
