Steve Bainbridge, Benfield Motor Group’s sales and development manager and former England and British Lions rugby player will be cycling 620 miles for charity in June.

Bainbridge, who also formerly played for Blaydon RFC will be taking part in the seven day cycle challenge for The Lions charity Walking with the Wounded which helps support wounded servicemen and women.

The journey will visit the four international rugby stadiums of Twickenham, Cardiff, Dublin and Murrayfield between June 22 and 28.

Bainbridge will be riding with nine other former British Lions team mates in a bid to raise as much money as possible.

Other British lions taking part in the Cycle challenge include Sir Ian McGeechan, Roger Uttley OBE, and Peter Winterbottom MBE.

Those interested in sponsoring can find out more information at the dedicated charity page.
