Point S Tyre & Autocare has grown its network to 300 members in the UK, providing tyre and car maintenance services.

The membership milestone aligns with the launch of a new website for the brand, as well as the start of a new TV campaign that will commence on October 10.

Wayne Daniel, UK network operations manager, said: “We are so delighted to hit the 300 mark in the UK, and I’d like to welcome all of our new members this year into the Point S global family.

“This achievement can be attributed to the tireless efforts of my team, but it is also a testament to the unique proposition that the Point S Tyre & Autocare network brings to the market. We are seeing more and more businesses in the motor trade searching for ways to take their business to the next level, and that’s what we’re here to help with.”

Earlier this year, Point S bolstered its business development team, launched a new fleet initiative and begun the strategic roll out of an improved technical training programme.

Point S members are provided with a package of marketing, training and business support, but retain full independence, while enjoying the increased buying power, access to exclusive products, and increased profit potential that being part of the global business brings.

Point S operates a network of more than 2,900 members and over 7,500 depots across 49 countries.

The Independent Garage Association (IGA) recently named the winners of its annual British Independent Garage (BIG) of the Year Awards 2022.

Independent garages and franchised dealer workshops are feeling the strain from the cost of living crisis, as their energy costs bite while some motorists are cutting back on maintenance spend.

A poll by The Motor Ombudsman found that eight in 10 are worried about the increasing costs, and six in 10 repair garages expect to raise their prices in the second half of this year to remain profitable in the face of higher overheads.
