Nissan Motor (GB) has appointed Mike Thompson to head up its aftersales operation, replacing Chris Marsh, who becomes the brand’s marketing director.

The changes are effective from July 1.

Thompson (pictured) joined Nissan in 2012 as the network strategy director and has been instrumental in developing and implementing Nissan’s market area strategy designed to improve the coverage and strength of the network as well as drive far greater levels of customer service. The strategy has also been instrumental in supporting Nissan’s mid-term growth objectives.

Before the Nissan appointment he was national aftersales manager at Audi UK.

Marsh joined Nissan Motor GB in 1992 and has held a variety of marketing, sales operations and dealer network development roles, becoming the brand’s aftersales director in 2012. In his new role as marketing director, Marsh will be responsible for leading the brand’s marketing activities in the UK, overseeing all marketing functions including advertising, CRM and events.
