Alan Day Volkswagen’s volunteer work has helped rugby club Saracens win the Premiership Rugby BreakThru Award for their work with disabled youngsters within their community.

The award was presented at a ceremony at the House of Commons.

Alan Day VW sponsors Saracens and provides Volkswagen models to the players and coaching team.

Every week  three senior managers at Alan Day Volkswagen, including managing director Paul Tanner, run a programme for youngsters aged 11-19 with physical disabilities at the Saracens’ Allianz Park in Hendon.

The aim is to improve their health, mental wellbeing and to create greater opportunities in the community.

Tomas Gamage, Saracens Sports Development Officer, said: “Managing director Paul Tanner and his staff turn up every Monday and volunteer with the team and add so much to the development of each individual at Sarrie’s RFC.”
