Snows Group has acquired the Citroën, Citroën DS, and Peugeot dealerships previously operated by City Motor Holdings in Basingstoke.

Snows Group – which already has a presence in the town with Kia and Volvo – has purchased the dealerships after CMH went into administration. They began trading yesterday.

The deal brings the group’s total number of dealerships to 34 across the South and South West, and follows Snows Group’s acquisition of Seat Yeovil in September from Carshop. The company now represents 13 marques.

Group board director Neil McCue said: “Snows Group representatives have visited the Basingstoke sites several times over recent weeks to ensure that we put our best foot forward for employees and customers alike, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to deliver the Group’s expertise to a wider community.

“This latest acquisition represents a continuation of our key objectives; that is, to grow our network of dealerships across the South and South West so that we can provide greater choice, and therefore a better experience, to our customers’.

The dealerships will now trade as Snows Citroën, Snows DS, and Snows Peugeot.

They are in the same industrial park as the group’s existing Kia and Volvo franchises in Houndmills.
