Pendragon is preparing to open a new Evans Halshaw Car Store in Dartford as part of its plans to double its used car revenues in 2017.

Group chief executive Trevor Finn revealed Pendragon’s plan to realise dramatic growth in used cars following a 5.6% rise in revenues earned from used car sales in 2016 (to £1.92 billion) coincided with a fall in new car revenues from £2.22 to £2.19 billion in the same period.

The growth of the Car Store network was central to Finn’s growth plans and the latest addition to the network will come in the form of a new Dartford facility, located on Crayside Industrial Estate, Thames Road, which is set to open this month.

The new location will serve as a click and collect location for Evans Halshaw’s Move Me Closer service.

Doug Gregg, Head of London Car Stores, commented: “Car Store Dartford is an exciting addition to the Dartford area and customers will receive choice and value during their car-buying experience.

“This is a unique proposition for Dartford, as customers will be guided by our helpful team members to find the best car for them out of over 25,000 models.”

Customers can browse the virtual store of 25,000 cars and find the best one for them, with the assistance of dedicated product specialists.

The service allows customers to search for cars located in partner sites around the country and move their desired vehicle to the Dartford Car Store for a viewing or test drive.

Evans Halshaw’s Sell Your Car service will also be available, giving customers the opportunity to sell their vehicle to Car Store for the best price.

Customers know they will get the best price when buying and selling a car, as valuations are backed by the Evans Halshaw Price Guarantee.

Car Store Dartford will be open Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 7pm and from 8am to 6pm on a Saturday.

Car Store Dartford is the fifth Evans Halshaw Car Store to open in the London area joining Chessington, Borehamwood, Slough and Ashford.
