TrustFord gained two places to be named 20th in this year’s Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies to Work For list in the UK.

The Ford-owned retail group, which employs 3,500 members of staff across its 61 UK franchised outlets in the UK, moved up two places on last year’s standing to beat the likes of Odeon and River Island.

Last night's Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For celebration took place at The Evolution in Battersea, London.

The full results of the event will be published in this weekend’s Sunday Times newspaper.

TrustFord chairman and chief executive, Stuart Foulds, said that it meant a “huge amount” to be well-placed in the annual listing.

He said: “The listing results from feedback from our 3,500-strong workforce so really is a reflection of how they see the business and the job they do.

“Our response rate was 73% and to result in such a positive listing means a huge amount to me.

“It’s an improvement on last year’s 22nd place and an indicator that the business is continuing to move in the right direction.”

Staff across the business were asked for their opinions in the independent Best Companies questionnaire focused around their manager and team, personal growth, wellbeing, giving something back, leadership, the company as a whole and fair deal for employees.

The feedback helps to shape a Best Companies Index score, which determines a company’s accreditation level and position.
