Endeavour Automotive has opened the doors to its new 7,600 square-foot Hyundai Watford showroom as part of a shift towards the heart of the town.

A total of 47 new and used cars are on display at the new franchised dealership facility, on Lower High Street, which made the move from the outskirts of Watford to provide more space and secure a more prominent location a short walk from major transport links, the AM100 group said.

The new showroom and workshop are now just a short distance from Watford High Street train station and the Intu Watford Shopping Centre.

Adrian Wallington, managing director of Endeavour Automotive, said: “The successful growth of Hyundai and Endeavour continues, and this was the driving force behind our decision to relocate to a larger site in a prominent position.

“Our new Watford dealership is now very near transport links and major shopping hubs, which means it’s now more convenient than ever for customers to use our services and browse the latest range of Hyundai models.”

The new Hyundai dealership is comprised of a 3,400 square-foot showroom with space for seven cars and a 2,400 square-foot, five-bay workshop and valeting area.

There is display space for 40 used cars on the forecourt, with a further 15 spaces for vehicle storage.

Endeavour has recruited additional staff as part of its move to the larger dealership, with the new car team now comprising five sales executives.

Endeavour said in a statement that the continued growth of Hyundai sales was a key factor in its decision to relocate.

Hyundai’s half-year tally of 51,041 units represented an increase of 1.88% from January to June, bucking the overall decline in the UK’s new car market.
