Dealers should capitalise on winter tyre sales, says Pinewood

Drivers wanting to prepare for winter weather could provide dealers with an opportunity to capitalise on increased winter tyre demand.

Pinewood has advised dealers to encourage their customers to switch to winter tyres, and highlighted a potential revenue-generating opportunity for the upcoming season.

To prepare for the surge in interest, Pinewood has developed a new ‘tyre hotel’ feature, to help dealers efficiently manage their tyre storage and servicing business, all within the DMS.

Pinewood’s managing director, Neville Briggs, said: “We’re constantly investing in new ways for dealers to capture revenue.

“It’s a common misconception that UK drivers don’t need winter tyres. In reality, switching to winter tyres becomes useful when temperatures are seven degrees and below, typical of the UK from October through to March.”
