Plans have been revealed for Pendragon’s new dual arch Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Nottingham after planning permission for the scheme was granted last year.

The new JLR facility, on Enterprise Way, Nottingham, is being progressed in spite of a Pendragon review of its operations in December 2017 which concluded that its representation of premium brands through the Stratstone premium franchise business would be reduced.

In Nottingham, the group will bring together the Jaguar and Land Rover brands at a in a new multi-million Dual Arch corporate identity retail facility, however.

News of the plans for the new site come eight months after Pendragon announced a similar investment with JLR in Newcastle.

Work is already underway at the site in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Live reported that the development is scheduled to be completed in December this year.

Andrew Watt, Stratstone Jaguar Land Rover franchise director, told the media outlet that Stratstone Jaguar Land Rover Nottingham had experienced "a period of healthy growth in recent" years, adding that it had been it was "a no-brainer" to develop the new facility as a result.

“There is a large part of Stratstone's history rooted in the local area in which our sites are based, so the sentimental value combined with the ambition to improve the services available make this development all the more rewarding," he said.

Pendragon’s current Stratstone Jaguar dealership in Derby Road, Nottingham, will be closed when the new facility is opened towards the end of this year.

The existing Land Rover dealership on the city’s Riverside Retail Park, meanwhile, will become a service centre.
