Group 1 Automotive will put up to 20,000 vehicles through BCA's auctions annually under a new exclusive remarketing contract.

The AM100 car dealer group, which trades under the Barons, Chandlers, Think Ford, Beadles and Avantage Cars brands, has committed to all vehicles being pre-sale prepared and, where eligible, listed as BCA Assured.

Its selection of BCA follows a tender process.

Russell Barber, group disposals manager at Group 1 Automotive, said: “The BCA business model is unique in its breadth of services across the supply chain and offers the scale and flexibility we need to support our ambitious used car programme.

"BCA provides a compelling customer service offering and creates efficiencies across the range of remarketing, logistics, preparation and inventory management services it delivers, bringing economies of scale and generating real value.”

Adam Lish, responsible for new UK dealer business at BCA, said: “This significant business win will deliver a superb selection of high quality used vehicles for our buyers."

BCA said the last 12 months have had sustained investment in decision intelligence services and new digital technology, to make it easier than ever to do business with the company.

Group 1 Automotive's managing director Darren Guiver left the business recently to spend more time with his family.
