Thieves have stolen “a number of vehicles” from Sytner’s Guy Salmon Land Rover dealership in Sheffield, police have reported.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police issued an appeal for information about the burglary which was reported just before 10.30pm on Sunday night (March 14).

The force said that that “a number of vehicles” had been stolen from the retail site on Savile Street, Attercliffe, Sheffield, but a spokeswoman told AM that further details of the vehicles taken could not be released due to “sensitivities around the investigation”.

Sytner’s Guy Salmon Land Rover dealership in Sheffield was expanded to incorporate the AM100-topping car retail group’s former Mini franchise back in 2017.

The expansion followed the Mini operation's shift into Sytner’s sprawling, newly-developed BMW/Mini dealership a quarter of a mile away.

A statement detailing South Yorkshire Police’s appeal for information about the raid on the Sheffield Land Rover site this week, said: “Police were called at 22.28pm last night with reports of a burglary at Guy Salmon Land Rover on Savile Street in Sheffield.

“It is reported that unknown offenders gained access to the site and a number of vehicles were stolen.

“Enquiries are ongoing at this time.”

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 873 of March 14.
