Gravells has expanded into England and added a sixth Kia Motors UK dealership to its franchised retail portfolio with the opening of a new showroom in Hereford.

The South Wales car retail group has moved the Korean brand into Newtown’s former Nissan (GB) dealership on Harrow Road, Hereford, to expand an established relationship with the brand at sites in Abergavenny, Bridgeend, Fforestfach, Narberth and Swansea.

Gravells Managing Director and third-generation owner of the group, Jonathan Gravell, said: “Kia provides a fantastic range of cars that will ensure we at Gravells Kia Hereford have the right car for our customer needs – stretching from Kia’s smallest car the Picanto to its largest, the all-new Sorento seven-seat SUV.

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Gravells’ exceptional customer service record to our new Hereford customers.”

Gravells, which alo represents Renault and Dacia, in Kidwelly, and Seat at Pontyberem, has fully re-branded the Newtown dealership ahead of the opening with Kia.

Newtown took over the Nissan franchise in Hereford back in 2015.

Gravells - winner of the 2019 AM Award for Best Dealer Group (Up to 10 Sites) - was recently marked out as one of the first ever dealerships to receive the coveted ‘ServiceMark with Distinction’ from the Institute of Customer Service.

Gravells Narberth was also named as an ‘industry leader’ in Reputation.com’s Dealer Top 50 UK list within Reputation.com’s 2020 Automotive Reputation Report Update.

Earlier this week AM revealed that the Kia franchise finished second in the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) Dealer Attitude Survey Winter 2020/21, having been pipped to the win by Lexus.

A statement issued by Kia said that Gravells Kia Hereford will provide customers with the latest range of appealing Kia offers.

These include the ‘G0% Hybrid’ event to the Kia Plug-in Hybrid Grant of £2,500 off the purchase price of PHEV variants of the Niro, XCeed, Ceed Sportswagon, and the all-new award-winning Sorento.
