Hendy Group's "high octane" Hendy Performance Open Day is set to return to Thruxton in summer 2022.

The free event, which features car displays, live music, track stars and trade stands, is due to be held on Sunday July 24.

There will also be a dedicated car club section new for 2022 and more family-friendly activities, Hendy said.

Paul Hendy, Hendy Group chief executive, said: “The first Hendy Performance Open Day was a huge success last year, so we are delighted to be back again this year with an event which promises to be even bigger and better.

“Our Hendy Performance events are always extremely popular with our fans and by hosting this event at Thruxton we can showcase everything that people love about performance motoring.”

In  addition to fans’ own cars, there will be the latest performance cars at the event and special guests including Aron Taylor-Smith, James Hedley, Tiff Needell and Paul Swift.

Fans can register for tickets on the Hendy Open Day website with the option of displaying their own performance car or general parking at the motor circuit.

Olympic gold medal winner Alex Danson addressed Hendy Group apprentices on the importance of resilience in a special training and development session at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium.
