AM magazine has claimed the Automotive Business Publication of the Year title as the Newspress Awards 2020.

The magazine gained recognition for work on headline stories on the restructure of the Ford and Honda franchised car retail networks, its initial response to the COVID-19 coronavirus, the strength of its feature content and the understanding of its audience.

On awarding AM magazine, the Newspress judging panel said: “The features in AM raise the bar for business publications – there’s a sense that a lot of thought has gone into making them appealing and interesting, as well as informative.”

Newspress said the judges were looking for a publication that knew its audience’s requirements down “to a tee” and were able to present information in a concise, attractive and creative way.

AM Editor Tim Rose said: “This is great recognition for our little team. And after news and features editor Tom Sharpe’s exclusives won AM the Bauer Scoop of the Year in 2019, the pressure is now on AM to make it a hat-trick in 2021.”

Unfortunately due to lockdown there was no gala awards dinner for the Newspress Awards 2020 trophies to be presented this year, so the AM team was notified of the win online this week.
