SsangYong is Britain’s most satisfactory car brand, according to the 2018 Honest John Satisfaction Index survey of 10,000 car owners.

Owners taking part in the survey were asked to rate their cars in a variety of important areas, with drivers scoring them for reliability, ride comfort, fuel economy, practicality and performance. They also ranked their cars for build quality, ease of use, safety and repair costs.

SsangYong came out top in the manufacturer table, with a satisfaction index score of 90.3%. Next was Porsche with 89.4%.

The worst scoring brand, Fiat, achieved a satisfaction score of 80.3%.

HonestJohn.co.uk managing editor, Daniel Powell, said: “SsangYong is Britain’s best performing car manufacturer, with drivers rating the brand in almost every area.

“Owners tell us they think SsangYong build reliable and practical cars, that are easy to use and comfortable. Notching up an impressive 90% approval rating with drivers, no other car manufacturer can match SsangYong for outright owner approval.”

Managing director of SsangYong Motor UK Nick Laird said: “This is a phenomenal result, and endorses what customers regularly tell us - they’re clearly very happy with our cars, and we are delighted our dealers are looking after customers so well.

“We continually strive to do even better, and our recently announced 7-year/150,000 mile warranty - the best of any manufacturer, is evidence of this.”
