Peugeot e-308

Peugeot has pulled the wraps off its new e-308, an electric version of the existing 308 model.

Both hatchback and estate versions of the new model will be offered, bolstering the existing 308 line-up when they arrive in showrooms next summer.

The e-308 will be fitted with an all-new powertrain, consisting of a 54kWh battery and a 156PS electric motor providing a range of up to 248 miles (WLTP cycle).

An electric version of the Vauxhall Astra, using the same powertrain, will also launch next year. They'll be the first Stellantis vehicles to utlise the new setup.

An on-board three-phase 11 kW charger is provided with the car as standard, the car also supports 100kW rapid charging, which will power the battery from 20-80% in less than 25 minutes.

The new 308 launched last year, spearheading the roll-out of Peugeot's new corporate identity and offering a range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines.

The introduction of the new Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW are the latest development in the brand’s aim to offer every vehicle in its line-up with an electrified variant by 2025. The new models will be available in the UK from the second half of 2023.
