Vantage Motor Group has appointed Simon Parkin as the new centre principal at its recently refurbished Toyota dealership in Wakefield.

Parkin (pictured) brings more than 20 years of motor industry experience to the role. He joined Vantage’s Kia and Honda sites in Bradford earlier this year before transferring to Wakefield.

Prior to joining Vantage, he worked with a number of other motor retail groups, progressing from sales executive to senior management positions.

Parkin's main responsibility is to “spearhead sustained growth in terms of sales of new and used cars”, building strong relationships with customers and developing the team.

“Vantage is a highly-regarded, successful and forward-thinking business,” said Parkin.

“My main priority is to increase sales at the same time as delivering the outstanding levels of service Vantage customers are accustomed to.”

Vantage Motor Group’s managing director Mark Robinson said: “Simon brings with him a wealth of industry experience and knowledge.

“I am confident he can further both the Toyota and Vantage brands in Wakefield as we look to increase our market share, while also embracing our passion to provide customers with the very best customer experience.”
