Auto Trader has launched its Click Awards for 2016, inviting manufacturers and retailers to enter.

The awards take place on Thursday June 23 at the Banking Hall, London.

The event features 10 awards and will be presented to manufacturers, supermarkets and franchised dealers that are able to demonstrate excellence in digital retailing.

Nominations are now open, and entrants have until May 6 to enter.

The full list of awards is available to view at www.autotraderclickawards.co.uk.

Nick King, Auto Trader’s insight director, said: “The internet has changed the way consumers buy and sell everything, including cars, so it’s important that retailers adapt to these changes in behaviour and ensure that digital is at the heart of their business model.

“Retailers are, and will, continue to be an essential part of the industry, so we feel it’s important to recognise those that show real innovation and those whom operate as true digital retailers.”

The majority of awards will be made through a combination of consumer research, data and via an expert judging panel.

The judges include Rightmove’s Sarah Brown, who is responsible for the brand’s consumer facing marketing activity, Dan Daly, Amazon senior manager, James Hayr, AOL head of branded content and LinkedIn’s James Mooney, who has extensive experience with automotive advertisers.

Also joining the panel is David Arkwright, founder of MEAT, a global brand consultancy that specialises in brand transformations for some of the world’s largest brands.
