WhoCanFixMyCar.com has appointed Fred Parkes into the newly created role of chief financial officer as it prepares for growth.

The site, which allows customers to post MoT, servicing or vehicle repair requirements and receive competitive quotes from local garages, has already processed close to a million quotes since inception in 2011. It has just short of 9,000 independent and nationally recognised garages signed up to offer quotes to potential new customers.

Ian Griffiths, who co-founded the organisation with business partner Alistair Preston, said: “Fred adds real strength to the management team here at WhoCanFixMyCar.com.

“We have an ambitious strategy to grow the operation considerably in 2017 and Fred’s experience will be an integral part in helping us achieve that. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Parkes will operate predominantly from WhoCanFixMyCar.com’s Newcastle office. The organisation also has an active office in London.

The site has already enjoyed a record-breaking start to the year, with more than 60,000 jobs being posted by UK drivers onto the site through January and February alone.

Parkes (pictured) said: “WhoCanFixMyCar.com has made the process far more transparent for drivers and much more effective for the supply chain.”
